Die Living

Posted by Rob on Sun, 18 Jan 2009 12:47:11 -0500.
Two days ago, I was fortunate enough to get to guide a trip through Steamboat Powdercats, for a group called Access Anything. For several years we have taken adaptive skiers into the backcountry, but this was an invitational for "le creme de le creme".

This was the first time that we got to take the athletes into our expert terrain, and these guys ripped it up. They skied our expert terrain as well or better than anyone we get to take over there.

Andy, a british mono-skier (who will be competing in the X games next week) had the phrase "DIE LIVING" on the back of his bucket, and he skied like it, and his outlook on life displayed it.

What a great challenge for all of us. In our day to day lives, are we pursuing the FULLEST LIFE? Do we live like we are dieing? If not why?

I truly feel blessed to get to have been part of this and am thankful for every person involved.
